With the progress of society and the development of the times, traditional design education needs more technical support.  As stated in the article, traditional handicraft-based design does not require formal evidence, but as all daily equipment becomes more complex, human-computer interaction has become a key part of the design, and human-oriented design has become very  important.  Our design has not only focused on developing beautiful things, but also added value from the designer’s unique perspective.

Design is facing a fork in the road, with traditional craftsmen on one side, and design thinkers who design based on evidence on the other.  No matter which choice, or both sides are chosen together, it is correct.  Current design education should pay more attention to cultivating designers who can truly lead design so that designers are no longer constrained by science, technology or engineering.  Such designers can better solve many real problems in current society and the world.  We will not lose the pleasing external part of the beauty in the design, and at the same time we will use a new human-oriented design concept to deal with these problems with new eyes.  So, as the article said, design is both craft and way of thinking.  We do not have to choose one of two directions, and no single choice is necessarily correct. We can do it at the same time.
