First meeting

Meeting summary: everyone introduces their project 2 to other team members and determines the division of labor
Meeting details: the main goal of the first meeting is to let everyone show their project 2 and understand the project content, main ideas, sources of inspiration, project process, etc. Mia’s works can be regarded as books and installations, but she thinks the most accurate positioning is art books. She made every section of the poem into a “CD”. The whole material is transparent, and the CD is black. The front has the poetry content of this section, and the vision inside is a hand-painted illustration obtained through the investigation, understanding and feeling of poetry. The content of poetry under the light can see the text itself and the projection of the text on the CD box at the same time, which represents a large number of metaphorical concrete content used by the author in poetry. HEDY’s target users are college students aged 18-25. She hopes to show them the lives of these poor people through her books. The whole book adopts black, which is in line with the poet’s description of the dark life. The whole poem is divided into 12 sections. In each section, she extracts an element and displays it through pictures. She uses photographic pictures as design materials for decomposition, sorting and reconstruction. Images trigger users’ visual thinking, help users understand poems and deepen users’ memory. At the same time, she also added some interactive elements to the book. Through the interaction between users and books, the originally boring reading experience becomes interesting. Harold’s book looks at Beasley from the perspective of a fly Street experienced these things in this era. Everyone can generalize the era macroscopically, but few people can experience the era personally, which is why they choose flies as the protagonist to feel the specific things happening in this era with the smallest and ordinary creatures. This book selects six concrete scenes in the poem as different themes. Different themes describe specific events or things in the form of illustrations, so as to guide some characteristics of that era. Zoe is a digital interactive book that users can watch on electronic devices. Collage and illustration elements are added to the book. Interact with the audience through animation and clicking icons to switch the form of music and picture. The story form is to show the street from the perspective of a mouse. After everyone’s introduction, we divided four responsibilities: 1. Brand designer / structure: HEDY 2. Creative director: MIA 3. Web / coding Designer / space organizer: Zoe 4. Social media / marketing / copywriter: Harold. We decided to think about the generous direction of item 3 after the meeting, and will put forward general ideas and discuss them in the next meeting.
Second meeting
Meeting time: July 28-9pm

Meeting summary: put forward general ideas and discuss them. Determine the general direction and main work content of the project.
Meeting details: after watching item 2 of other team members, we went back to think about item 3. Both Mia and heyd’s works have CD related elements, and Zoe and Harold’s are physical books. Our idea is to extract the main elements from everyone’s works. Carry out a complete set of visual design. A series of designs were carried out around a CD of Beasley street. We put forward a set of combinations of logo, packaging design, website publicity design, social media design, marketing design and so on. After determining the general direction of project three, we discussed the division of labor. We will share all the work, but everyone has the main responsibility. We think this working method is more suitable for the team project.
Third meeting
Meeting time: 6pm-9pm, July 30

Meeting summary: discuss the contents of tutorial on July 29 and determine the change of project direction.
Meeting details: on Thursday’s tutorial, the tutor took us to reinterpret the brief. So we discussed it again in the meeting. Our original idea was to combine the works of four people to create new content. But we find that our understanding is problematic. We should keep everyone’s works in project 2 unchanged and think about the integration method suitable for our works. We sorted out the works of four people and put forward a series of ideas, such as making a website or making a physical packaging, putting all four physical works into it, and so on. We decided to continue to think about more appropriate integration methods after the meeting and discuss them again at the next meeting.
Fourth meeting
Meeting time: 5pm-8pm on July 31

Meeting summary: determine project 3, select the form of online exhibition, and sort out the project framework
Meeting details: after a night’s conception, we met again. After discussion, Mia proposed the way of online exhibition, which was recognized by everyone. We have proposed more and further expansion of online exhibition. And determine the overall project framework structure. And HEDY suggested that she had seen the British Museum promote websites similar to online exhibitions, which is in line with the current situation of the epidemic. It is a good way to give people a safe exhibition that can be visited at any time. We have carefully analyzed the status quo: 1. under the influence of COVID-19, the offline exhibition has been restricted. The development of the 2. network has made online exhibitions possible and is a better choice. 3. Cross region, interactivity and e-commerce are the outstanding advantages of online exhibition. Online exhibition is not limited by time and space, and can attract more audiences. 4. Online exhibition has the inherent advantages of low cost, real-time and large coverage. For ordinary visitors, it is very unrealistic to watch physical exhibitions in different places, while online exhibitions can meet their basic needs. Online exhibition saves time and money as much as possible, and then we have a further discussion on the project route of online exhibition. We decided that the exhibition orientation is 1. With “Beasley Street” as the theme, the four designers described the story of Beasley street through personalized visual language according to their own understanding, showed the real situation of the poor people in a period of economic depression, and explained a series of social problems caused by the gap between the rich and the poor. 2. Give users space to think. 2. Combine vision and hearing, 3. Bring users a unique exhibition experience. Joint online exhibition of independent designers. Target audience 1. Readers who want to know about Beasley street and the story behind it. 2. Music enthusiasts 3. Book lovers 4. After the minority art lovers made these clear, we further promoted our work.
Fifth meeting
Meeting time: 10am-1pm, August 1

Meeting summary: confirm the project progress and discuss the project details
Meeting details: we decided to enter the main exhibition from a CD. The background music is the song of this poem. People watching the exhibition can listen to the song itself and enjoy four visual books about Beasley street. We hope the effect of the whole website is concise and clear, which can make the audience focus on the work itself. After the four works are displayed, we hope to display them online. Finally, there is a link to sell the surrounding works. There are surrounding works and exhibitions. In order to obtain some revenue to maintain the operation of the online exhibition. We decided that Zoe will be responsible for the main production of the online exhibition website, and others will provide her with works that meet the needs, works overview, and all other visual materials. Harola is mainly responsible for the design of publicity posters. HEDY is responsible for the design of the main drawing and logo of the exhibition. Mia is responsible for organizing meeting minutes and text editing. After that, we discussed and clarified the purpose and significance of online exhibition. 1. Bring the audience an immersive exhibition experience of vision, hearing and other senses. 2. Display the designer’s works, improve the popularity of the design, and promote and sell the designer’s peripheral products. 1. Compared with words, visual language is easier to understand and powerful, and can hit the people directly. In the washing flight exhibition, the designer transformed the original raw and difficult words into visual language to tell the story of Beasley street.2. Enlarge the meaning and function of each designer’s work, and give each work a new position and attribute in the whole exhibition.
Sixth meeting
Meeting time: 5pm-7pm, August 4

Meeting summary: confirm the project progress and integrate the work content.
Meeting details: we looked at each other’s work progress and discussed some visual options. Then we named the whole online exhibition. And integrate all the work contents to check and make up for deficiencies. We sorted out the content sequence of the project from the beginning, and discussed the contents we should show and the details of the report. We will show the final results, and the process will be put on everyone’s blog.
3.Personal statement outgoing
I held the position of creative director in the team. In team project 3, we first faced the challenge of selecting the project carrier. At first, I misunderstood that we should integrate our works into and make new products, so I proposed how to extract important parts of our works and formulated a series of new product plans. However, on the tutorial, Andy led me to re read and understand the brief and let me know that what we need to do is not a new work, but a way to display the works of four people in our group. What we need is the most suitable carrier. So I abandoned all my previous ideas and started from scratch. This is a challenge for us because we know that time is not enough. I spent a lot of time identifying this part. Finally, in the discussion of the group meeting, after negating many schemes, I first put forward the big idea of online exhibition. On the basis of this idea, we have conducted research and development. After discussion, we have always believed that this is the most suitable display method for us. In the process of teamwork, I was responsible for recording and sorting out all six meetings. I recorded the contents of each meeting through meeting time, participants, meeting place, meeting theme and meeting details. The minutes of each meeting can help my team members better review the content after the meeting and better prepare for the next meeting. There were six minutes of the meeting, with a total of about 1600 words. In addition, I assigned everyone’s work in the process of team project cooperation. I grasped what everyone was good at. I understood the software everyone was good at and everyone’s strengths. At the same time, I considered and respected everyone’s personal wishes. Finally, I let everyone have enough time, ability and interest to carry out and complete their assigned tasks. This is an important part of our team cooperation. I insist that good team cooperation is the most important foundation. In the whole process, I arranged the time of each meeting to remind everyone of the precautions before and after the meeting, monitor and grasp the project progress and ensure the smooth progress of the project. Only in this way can we ensure that problems can be found and solved at the first time. In addition, I also sorted out the contents, ideas, fianl, etc. of everyone’s first project to help each team member have a certain understanding of other people’s works. And drew some sketches and mind maps about the idea of online exhibition at the beginning of the project
