Research on personal maps

It is a beautiful and meditative compendium of maps and musings on maps exploring, in the broadest possible terms, the human condition. Divided into three sections — “Personal Geography,” “At Home in the World” and “Realms of Fantasy” — the book features 50 full-color and 50 black-and-white cartographic illustrations, ranging from a humorous diplomatic atlas of Europe and Asia to a canine view of the world to hand-drawn maps of shelters along the Appalachian Trail.

After seeing a map about birds in the book, I was inspired and watched more works on text arrangement and visual communication

Sktech ideas

My idea is to list all the keywords about myself, and then sort them into categories. And arrange them in an order closer to the center of “I”.Maybe they can be given different color groups according to their different natures.

In the end I decided to choose a more direct but more detail-oriented approach. I hope to combine these keywords through different aspects such as font, font size, and arrangement. I can take the initiative to choose what people see first and then see what. The visual focus has a beginning, a shift, and an end. I actively control the change of visual focus to make it a guide in the map.
