I analyzed from the four aspects of people,activities,context and technologies.

According to the PACT analysis I did,I completed two user modeling.


Second research
After the above process, I think fun and curiosity are the key to children of this age.
In addition to letting them learn about the real-time weather or recent weather interestingly,
I decided to add weather games and knowledge to my app.
So I did research on existing weather apps and educational games for children of this age.



Sketch ideas

Start from fun and curiosity,I designed a toy “weather doll” for the app to work with.
It is connected via Bluetooth, and children can name it independently.
It has a screen on its body, and it can respond to children through voice recognition.
Interaction and dialogue can allow children to leave the boring data and line graphs
when they understand today’s weather, and make them more willing to ask about today’s weather.
After all, this is usually boring for them.


There are two weather-related games in the app.
The first is about weather adventures, and the second is about weather dressing.
They all support children to play alone or invite their friends to play together.
This allows children as a group to have more collective interaction and cooperation when they are together.

At this step, I think that for children, direct and interesting images that are visible to the naked eye are far easier to understand and accept than words and numbers.
