We can find that as a designer, we rely on research information and data to a great extent. But sometimes we have to focus on our own insights. I think insight is different from observation. Observation can help us see many phenomena or problems, and insight can sometimes help us find solutions to problems. In my opinion, insight can help us better do people-oriented design, design with insight can better meet people’s needs and use habits, can make it easier for us to make life better through design.
Insight can help us better stand in the user’s perspective, insightful design in most cases will be more intimate than other designs, also more temperature. But in many cases, we sometimes excessively pursue the fixed steps and information in the design process, but ignore many of our brilliant ideas. Sometimes we are insightful, but we are missed. Don’t take our own insights as unrealistic ideas. Sometimes, not all the ideas put forward need a lot of data to support them. It is a kind of natural creation, which is based on human activities or emotions and can resonate with users or consumers.
